The active ingredients provide both immediate and long term flea control:

DOSAGES:

XS Canine 2-10 lbs:  11.3 mg of Nitenpyram and 45 mg of Lufenuron

 S Canine 11-25 lbs: 11.3 mg of Nitenpyram and 90 mg of Lufenuron

M Canine 26-45 lbs: 56 mg of Nitenpyram and 204.9 mg of Lufenuron

 L Canine 46-90 lbs:  56 mg of Nitenpyram and 409.8 mg of Lufenuron
